Newly installed hardwood flooring running through an Omaha living room

Flat subfloor, tight seams, clean transitions

Flooring Installation in Omaha

Hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, tile, and carpet installed over properly prepared subfloors so the finish lays flat and stays quiet.

Most flooring complaints are subfloor complaints. Hollow spots under tile, squeaks under hardwood, telegraphed seams under vinyl — the flooring gets blamed but the prep is what failed.

We check the subfloor for flatness and fasten it down before anything goes over it. Where it needs leveling compound, it gets leveling compound. Where a joist needs sistering, we sister it.

Then we plan the layout: which direction the planks run, where the seams land, how the transitions meet in doorways, and how the floor terminates at the stairs.

Why homeowners hire us for this

Subfloor prep included, not upsold

Flattening, fastening, and moisture testing are part of doing the job right, not a change order after demo.

Continuous runs through the house

Where the layout allows, we run flooring through doorways without transition strips for a cleaner, larger feel.

Careful stair details

Treads, risers, skirt boards, and nosings finished to match the field — one of the hardest details to get right.

Clean removal of the old floor

Containment, dust control, and full haul-away. Old tile removal is messy work and we plan for it.

Straight answers, no hedging. Call if yours is not covered here.

Sometimes, but it raises floor height and can cause problems at doorways and appliances. We usually recommend removing it and will tell you honestly when the shortcut is not worth it.
